How “nothing is uploaded” works

Most online converters send your file to a server, process it there and send it back. UnlimitedConvert doesn't have a server that receives files. Each tool downloads the code it needs into the page, and your browser does the work on your own computer or phone.

Under the hood the tools use well-known open-source libraries built to run in the browser: libheif for iPhone HEIC photos, Mozilla's pdf.js and pdf-lib for PDFs, LAME for MP3, and dedicated encoders for AVIF, TIFF, GIF and PSD. You can check it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab and convert a file. No request carries your file.

This is also why there are no limits. Your device does the processing, so we don't pay per file and have no reason to cap how many you convert.

What we hold ourselves to

Every tool does what its name says. A TIFF converter writes a real TIFF, not a PNG with a .tiff name. Where a format has a limit, the page says so (for example, an animated GIF converts its first frame).
No trials that turn into subscriptions. There's no paid plan, no account and no watermark. The site is paid for by the ads you see on the pages.
Official sources. Tax forms are unmodified copies of the government's own PDFs, and exam photo specs come from the official notices. Each page shows when it was last checked.
Plain answers. Each tool page explains what happens to your file, what changes and what doesn't, in normal language.

Who runs UnlimitedConvert

UnlimitedConvert is built and maintained by MageEnv, a web and mobile app development company. Questions, bug reports and requests for new formats go to the team through the contact page.
