PNG to SVG Converter
Turn PNG files into SVG in seconds. Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded, and there's no limit.
Your images are processed in this browser tab and never uploaded.
Why convert PNG to SVG?
PNG files can be large, especially for photos.
A vector SVG scales to any size without blur, which is what designers, web developers and cutting machines (Cricut, laser cutters) need.
What to expect
- Your PNG is traced into real vector shapes, not just wrapped in an SVG. This works best for logos, icons and illustrations; photos turn into large, poster-like SVGs.
Tracing a PNG logo into a real vector
Converting PNG to SVG here traces the image into vector shapes, so the result scales to any size and can be edited in Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma or Cricut Design Space. It's not a PNG wrapped in an SVG file, which is what many converters produce.
Tracing works best on images with flat colours and clean edges: logos, icons, line art and text. Photos turn into poster-like shapes and large files.
Tips
- Start from the largest, cleanest PNG you have. Blurry or tiny logos trace into wobbly shapes.
- Use the Simple detail setting for logos and Balanced for illustrations.
- For Cricut or laser cutting, a black-and-white image gives the cleanest cut paths.

About the formats
PNG (Portable Network Graphics, 1996) is a lossless format that keeps every pixel exactly. It supports full transparency, which makes it the standard for logos, screenshots and graphics with sharp edges.
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics, 2001) is a vector format. Instead of pixels it describes shapes, so it stays perfectly sharp at any size. It's the standard for logos and icons on the web.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert PNG to SVG?
Drop your PNG files into the box above (or tap Select files), check the options, then press Convert. Each SVG downloads on its own, or you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your PNG files are never sent to a server, so they stay private, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.
Is there a limit on how many PNG files I can convert?
No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.
Will the SVG be a real vector?
Yes. The image is traced into vector paths with colour regions, so it scales cleanly and can be edited in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma. Choose the Detail setting to balance accuracy and file size: “Simple” works best for logos.
Will the SVG be identical to my PNG?
Close, not identical. Tracing turns pixels into smooth shapes, so tiny details and gradients are simplified. For a pixel-perfect copy at a bigger size you'd need the original vector file from the designer.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
