About Sign PDF
Your signature is created and placed in your browser. It isn't stored or uploaded anywhere, and it's gone when you close the tab.
Uploaded signature photos have their white background removed automatically, so only the ink sits on the page.
This adds a picture of your signature to the PDF, the same as signing a printed page and scanning it. Some documents (for example certain bank or government filings) need a certified digital signature or wet ink instead; check what the recipient accepts.
Frequently asked questions
Is my information uploaded?
No. The PDF opens in this browser tab and everything you type stays on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, so your SSN, address and signature never leave your computer or phone.
Is it really free?
Yes. No trial, no subscription, no sign-up and no watermark. You download the finished PDF straight away. (Some “free” PDF fillers charge a small trial fee that turns into a monthly subscription. This one never asks for a card.)
Is a signature added this way legally valid?
In many countries, including the US, UK and India, electronic signatures are generally accepted for everyday agreements, but some documents have special rules. If you're not sure, ask the person or organisation you're sending it to.
Can I sign more than one place?
Yes. After creating your signature once, click Signature again and place it as many times as you need.
Can I add initials?
Yes. Make a second signature with just your initials, or use Text to type them.
