HEIC to PDF Converter
Turn HEIC (HEIF) files into PDF in seconds. Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded, and there's no limit.
Your images are processed in this browser tab and never uploaded.
Why convert HEIC to PDF?
HEIC photos from an iPhone often won't open on Windows, Android or upload forms.
A PDF is the easiest way to send, print or upload images as a document, and it looks the same on every device.
What to expect
- Live Photos convert to a still image. Location and camera details (EXIF) are not copied into the new file, which is safer for sharing.
- Each image becomes one page. Several images can be combined into one PDF, with the page size fitted to the image, A4 or US Letter.
Sending iPhone photos as a PDF document
Visa portals, insurance claims, banks and schools often ask for documents as a single PDF. If you photographed the pages with an iPhone, they are HEIC files, which most of those portals won't accept.
Adding all the photos here and keeping “Combine into one PDF” on gives one file with one page per photo, in the order shown. Choose A4 or US Letter if the PDF will be printed, or “fit to image” to keep each photo at its own shape.
Tips
- Photograph documents in daylight, flat on a dark table, straight from above. It makes a bigger difference to readability than any setting.
- If the portal has a size limit (often 1 or 2 MB), run the finished PDF through Compress PDF.
- The iPhone Notes app can also scan documents straight to PDF; this tool is for photos you already took.

About the formats
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container, 2015) is the format iPhones and iPads use for photos since iOS 11. It keeps photos at about half the size of JPG, but many Windows PCs, websites and apps can't open it. HEIC and HEIF are the same container format. HEIC is the name Apple uses for photos stored with HEVC compression.
PDF (Portable Document Format, 1993) is the universal document format. A PDF looks the same on every device and printer, which makes it the safest way to send images as documents, forms or scans.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEIC to PDF?
Drop your HEIC files into the box above (or tap Select files), check the options, then press Convert. Each PDF downloads on its own, or you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your HEIC files are never sent to a server, so they stay private, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.
Is there a limit on how many HEIC files I can convert?
No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.
Why won't my iPhone photos open on Windows?
iPhones save photos as HEIC to save space. Windows needs an extra codec to open them, and many websites reject them. Converting to PDF fixes that. On the iPhone you can also switch to Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible to take new photos as JPG.
Can I put several HEIC images into one PDF?
Yes. Add all your images, keep “Combine into one PDF” switched on and they become one PDF with one page per image, in the order shown. You can choose page size: fit to image, A4 or US Letter.
Can I change the page order?
The pages follow the order of the files in the list. Remove a file and add it again to move it to the end, or add the files in the order you want them.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
