Why convert SVG to PNG?
Many apps, social networks and documents only accept pixel images, not vectors.
PNG keeps every pixel and supports transparency, so nothing is lost and it is accepted by every app and website.
What to expect
- The vector is rendered to pixels at 1024px on the long side (or larger if the SVG is bigger), so the PNG stays sharp.
Exporting an SVG logo or icon as PNG
SVG is ideal for the web and for designers, but slide decks, Word documents, social media profiles and many app stores need a pixel image. PNG is the right target because it keeps the transparent background around the logo.
The SVG is rendered at 1024 px on its long side (or its own size if larger), which is sharp for documents, slides and profile pictures.
Tips
- If text in the SVG looks different, the SVG relies on a font that isn't installed. Convert text to outlines in your design app first.
- SVGs that load external images or fonts from the web may render without them.
- For a favicon, convert straight to ICO instead.

About the formats
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics, 2001) is a vector format. Instead of pixels it describes shapes, so it stays perfectly sharp at any size. It's the standard for logos and icons on the web.
PNG (Portable Network Graphics, 1996) is a lossless format that keeps every pixel exactly. It supports full transparency, which makes it the standard for logos, screenshots and graphics with sharp edges.

Is there a limit on how many SVG files I can convert?
No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.
