Why convert SVG to GIF?

Many apps, social networks and documents only accept pixel images, not vectors.

GIF is supported by every app and platform, which makes it a safe choice for simple graphics and stickers.

What to expect

  • The vector is rendered to pixels at 1024px on the long side (or larger if the SVG is bigger), so the GIF stays sharp.
  • GIF can show at most 256 colours. Logos and graphics look identical; detailed photos may show slight banding.

About the formats

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics, 2001) is a vector format. Instead of pixels it describes shapes, so it stays perfectly sharp at any size. It's the standard for logos and icons on the web.

GIF (Graphics Interchange Format, 1987) is one of the oldest web formats. It is limited to 256 colours per frame but supports simple transparency and animation, which is why it is still used for short loops and memes.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert SVG to GIF?

Drop your SVG files into the box above (or tap Select files), check the options, then press Convert. Each GIF downloads on its own, or you can download them all as one ZIP file.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your SVG files are never sent to a server, so they stay private, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.

Is there a limit on how many SVG files I can convert?

No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.

Will I lose quality converting to GIF?

No. GIF is lossless, so the converted image keeps every pixel of the original.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
