SVG to AVIF Converter
Turn SVG files into AVIF in seconds. Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded, and there's no limit.
Your images are processed in this browser tab and never uploaded.
Why convert SVG to AVIF?
Many apps, social networks and documents only accept pixel images, not vectors.
AVIF gives the smallest files of any image format, ideal for fast websites.
What to expect
- The vector is rendered to pixels at 1024px on the long side (or larger if the SVG is bigger), so the AVIF stays sharp.
- AVIF is lossy, so the file gets much smaller. At the default quality (90%) the difference is very hard to see; you can change it before converting.
- AVIF encoding takes a few seconds per large photo because it compresses much harder than other formats.

About the formats
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics, 2001) is a vector format. Instead of pixels it describes shapes, so it stays perfectly sharp at any size. It's the standard for logos and icons on the web.
AVIF (AV1 Image File Format, 2019) is the newest major image format, based on the AV1 video codec. It usually produces the smallest files of all, often half the size of JPG, with transparency and HDR support.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert SVG to AVIF?
Drop your SVG files into the box above (or tap Select files), check the options, then press Convert. Each AVIF downloads on its own, or you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your SVG files are never sent to a server, so they stay private, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.
Is there a limit on how many SVG files I can convert?
No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.
Will I lose quality converting to AVIF?
AVIF uses lossy compression, but at the default 90% quality the difference is practically invisible. Move the Quality slider up for the highest fidelity or down for smaller files.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
