Frequently asked questions
What size should my PAN photo and signature be?
Photograph: 197 × 276 pixels, 10–50 KB, JPG. Signature: 354 × 157 pixels, 10–50 KB, JPG.
Are my photo and signature uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser on your own phone or computer. Your files are never sent to a server.
What if the official notice says something different?
Notices change from year to year. Open “Change the limits” on any document and type the size from your notice: the tool follows it exactly.
The site says my file is too small, what do I do?
This tool never makes a file smaller than the minimum. If a picture is very plain (like a signature on white paper) it adds harmless padding inside the JPG so it meets the minimum size.
Can I use my phone?
Yes. Take a clear photo of your signature or thumb impression in good light, then add it here. The background clean-up makes the paper pure white.
