About Fill PDF Form

Most official forms (tax, bank, rental, school and job applications) are “fillable PDFs”: they contain boxes the PDF itself knows about. This tool finds those boxes and lets you type straight into them, keeping each box's character limit, so your answers land exactly where they belong.

Forms that are only a flat image or a scan have no boxes. For those, click Text and then click anywhere on the page to type, or add a checkmark, today's date or your signature.

When you download, you can make the answers permanent (“flatten”), which locks them into the page so they look the same in every app and can't be changed. Leave it off if the person you're sending it to needs to edit the form.

Is my information uploaded?

No. The PDF opens in this browser tab and everything you type stays on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, so your SSN, address and signature never leave your computer or phone.

Is it really free?

Yes. No trial, no subscription, no sign-up and no watermark. You download the finished PDF straight away. (Some “free” PDF fillers charge a small trial fee that turns into a monthly subscription. This one never asks for a card.)

Can I sign it here?

Yes. Press Signature to draw it with your mouse or finger, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature, then place it on the signature line.

Why can't I type in my form?

The form may be a scan or a flat PDF without fillable boxes. Use the Text tool to type anywhere on the page instead.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on phones, tablets and computers.

What about password-protected PDFs?

If a PDF needs a password to open, it can't be filled here. Ask the sender for an unlocked copy.
