JPG to SVG Converter
Turn JPG (JPEG) files into SVG in seconds. Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded, and there's no limit.
Your images are processed in this browser tab and never uploaded.
Why convert JPG to SVG?
JPG has no transparency and loses a little quality each time it's re-saved.
A vector SVG scales to any size without blur, which is what designers, web developers and cutting machines (Cricut, laser cutters) need.
What to expect
- Your JPG is traced into real vector shapes, not just wrapped in an SVG. This works best for logos, icons and illustrations; photos turn into large, poster-like SVGs.
Making a vector from a JPG image
Tracing a JPG gives editable vector paths, useful for turning a scanned drawing, a stamp, a signature or a simple logo into something that can be cut, engraved or scaled up for print.
JPG compression adds faint noise around edges, so results are cleaner when the original has strong contrast and flat colours.
Tips
- Photograph drawings flat in good light, or scan them, then crop to just the artwork before converting.
- Signatures and line art trace best in black and white.
- Photos are a poor fit: the SVG becomes huge and looks posterised.

About the formats
JPG (JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group), 1992) is the most widely used photo format in the world. It uses lossy compression that throws away detail the eye barely notices, which keeps photos small. JPG and JPEG are the same format: the shorter extension comes from old Windows versions that only allowed three letters.
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics, 2001) is a vector format. Instead of pixels it describes shapes, so it stays perfectly sharp at any size. It's the standard for logos and icons on the web.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert JPG to SVG?
Drop your JPG files into the box above (or tap Select files), check the options, then press Convert. Each SVG downloads on its own, or you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your JPG files are never sent to a server, so they stay private, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.
Is there a limit on how many JPG files I can convert?
No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.
Will the SVG be a real vector?
Yes. The image is traced into vector paths with colour regions, so it scales cleanly and can be edited in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma. Choose the Detail setting to balance accuracy and file size: “Simple” works best for logos.
Can I use the SVG with Cricut?
Yes. Upload it in Cricut Design Space as an SVG. Simple, high-contrast images give the cleanest cut lines.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
