RAW to GIF Converter
Turn RAW files into GIF in seconds. Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded, and there's no limit.
Your images are processed in this browser tab and never uploaded.
Why convert RAW to GIF?
RAW files are huge and need special software, so they can't be shared or posted directly.
GIF is supported by every app and platform, which makes it a safe choice for simple graphics and stickers.
What to expect
- We use the full-size preview your camera stores inside the RAW file, so you get the colours you saw on the camera. For exposure or white-balance edits, use a RAW editor first.
- GIF can show at most 256 colours. Logos and graphics look identical; detailed photos may show slight banding.

About the formats
RAW (Camera RAW (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, ORF, RW2, RAF and more)) is the unprocessed sensor data saved by DSLR and mirrorless cameras. RAW files are great for editing but large, brand-specific and impossible to share as-is. Every camera stores a ready-made preview inside its RAW files, usually at full resolution. This converter uses that preview, so colours match what you saw on the camera's screen.
GIF (Graphics Interchange Format, 1987) is one of the oldest web formats. It is limited to 256 colours per frame but supports simple transparency and animation, which is why it is still used for short loops and memes.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert RAW to GIF?
Drop your RAW files into the box above (or tap Select files), check the options, then press Convert. Each GIF downloads on its own, or you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your RAW files are never sent to a server, so they stay private, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.
Is there a limit on how many RAW files I can convert?
No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.
Which RAW formats are supported?
Canon (CR2, CR3), Nikon (NEF, NRW), Sony (ARW), Adobe DNG, Olympus (ORF), Panasonic (RW2), Fujifilm (RAF), Pentax (PEF), Samsung (SRW) and most others, because they all store a preview image we can read.
Will I lose quality converting to GIF?
No. GIF is lossless, so the converted image keeps every pixel of the original.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
