TIFF to BMP Converter
Turn TIFF (TIF) files into BMP in seconds. Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded, and there's no limit.
Your images are processed in this browser tab and never uploaded.
Why convert TIFF to BMP?
TIFF files are large and most websites and phones can't display them.
Some older programs, printers and embedded devices only accept uncompressed BMP files.
What to expect
- Multi-page TIFFs: the first page is converted.
- BMP has no transparency, so transparent areas become white.
- BMP is uncompressed, so the file will be much larger than the original.

About the formats
TIFF (Tagged Image File Format, 1986) is a high-quality format used in printing, scanning and professional photography. It stores images without quality loss and can hold several pages in one file. TIF and TIFF are the same format with a different file extension.
BMP (Windows Bitmap, 1990) is a simple, uncompressed Windows format. Files are large because every pixel is stored as-is, but almost any program, including very old software and embedded devices, can read it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert TIFF to BMP?
Drop your TIFF files into the box above (or tap Select files), check the options, then press Convert. Each BMP downloads on its own, or you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your TIFF files are never sent to a server, so they stay private, and it works even on a slow connection once the page has loaded.
Is there a limit on how many TIFF files I can convert?
No. Convert as many as you like, for free, without signing up. Very large batches are processed one after another so your browser stays responsive.
Will I lose quality converting to BMP?
No. BMP is lossless, so the converted image keeps every pixel of the original.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
